International

ITS Netherlands is a member of the ITS Nationals Platform that was set up in co-operation with ERTICO and other national ITS organisations. The platform combines national and regional ITS organisations at European level and is aimed at sharing knowledge, accelerating the implementation of ITS in Europe and achieving better agreements on European themes and projects for all actors, local and national, small- and medium sized companies.

As manager of the knowledge and innovation network, ITS-NL also serves as contact point for international companies and organisations with regard to providing information and match making. Additionally, as part of international co-operation, ITS Netherlands, ITS United Kingdom and ITS Sweden have started a tripartite form of co-operation. This co-operation means achieving a huge improvement in the exchange of knowledge in the field of traffic and transport between parties, and also means better alignment of cross-border matters like standardisation, quality models and architecture to each other. It also means better co-ordination of international priorities and items on the agenda. ITS Netherlands also strives to further expand its co-operation with the organisation in formation ITS Germany.
